Job Description
Seeking an experienced Mechanical Trade Assistant to join their team for a 2–3 month contract.
About Our Client: Our client is a reputable industrial services company specialising in the repair and maintenance of pumps, cleaners, and blasting equipment. With a strong commitment to safety and quality, they are seeking an experienced Mechanical Trade Assistant to join their team for a 23 month contract based in their large Adelaide workshop.
About the Role: You will assist the workshop team in carrying out mechanical repairs, maintenance, and general workshop duties across a range of industrial equipment. This hands-on role suits someone with a mechanical aptitude and a proactive approach to work.
- Assisting with repairs and servicing of industrial pumps, cleaners, and blasting equipment
- Running components through parts washers
- Spray painting and preparing equipment for dispatch
- General workshop cleaning and housekeeping duties
- Supporting tradespeople with various mechanical tasks
- Performing other on-site duties as required
What you will need:
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Trade Assistant (essential)
- Experience in the blasting or cleaning industry (highly regarded)
- Forklift licence highly regarded
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to work safely and follow instructions in a workshop environment
